Mia Regazza
I’m a little surprised it’s taken me this long in the blog to write about Mia Regazza. http://miaregazza.com Or maybe it’s not a surprise as I’m not crazy about this place. There are two restaurants, one in Abington and one in Marshfield. I’ve been to both multiple times. The one in Marshfield is newer and very close to our house. So, we tend to get pizza from here a lot. Their pizza is good. It’s traditional bar style. Their greek salad is also good. The first pic is from one of our take out experiences. Their profiteroles and their cocktails are good as well. That’s about where the good ends. I’ve really tried to like this place as dh’s family loves it. We typically do family dinner here once a year. I’ve tried a variety of things. I’ve had baked cod, steak tips, eggplant parm, shrimp, spaghetti bolognese, etc. Not…good, none of it. On our most recent trip, I tried their swordfish and shrimp special. I think it was $34. Talk about disappointing. They do this weird thing to the shrimp where they’re kind of breaded and then cooked, maybe sauteed. I don’t know, I just don’t like it. I’d prefer if they were grilled. Or sautéed is fine, just don’t bread them first. It’s unnecessary. The swordfish was way overcooked and didn’t taste that fresh. I think dh got chicken parm. This is his “go to” dish when we come here for something other than pizza. He likes it. Although when he makes this at home, it’s is way better. I really should have sent mine back but it was pretty late and I was hungry.
The bar is really nice at the Marshfield location. There are many seats and quite a few high tops around the bar. The bar at the Abington location is fairly small and right by the front door. At the Marshfield location, they have a nice outdoor patio as well with another bar. It’s really cute in the summer. Sometimes they have live entertainment. Service is always good. All and all, if you want to eat here, get a pizza. Or get dessert and drinks.
