Doc Ford’s
Last summer dh and I got tickets to see the Red Sox play the Rays at the Trop (Tropicana Field). We got to St. Pete early so decided to have dinner at Doc Ford’s on the pier https://www.docfords.com/. Parking is available at a small cost, $4 for 2 hours. The restaurant is right on the water and has beautiful views. There are two bars. We sat at the one closest to the water. We each had a beer and ordered dinner. I had the Cuban sandwich with fries. Dh had a cheeseburger with fries. The cheeseburger was overcooked, but okay. The Cuban was good and huge. I could only eat half. It wasn’t the best I’ve had but good enough. Dh had another beer and the bill was around $50. After dinner we drove over to the game. We had paid for parking ahead of time so that was convenient. Just showed the QR code and we were in. We had great seats right behind home plate. Good thing they have nets all around. Quite a few foul balls still went over the nets. Luckily none super close to us. The Red Sox were up through the 7th inning. Unfortunately that’s when it went downhill. I think they let up 6 runs. Even though we lost it was still a fun game. We did the 50-50 raffle. Lost that too. I got a $10 lemonade. Dh got a $15 beer. lol. Gotta love stadium prices. After the game we were able to get out right away and head home. Took about 45 minutes. Not bad.
