Backbeat brewing
As Dh and I were out doing errands one day in December we decided to take a road trip to the north shore. We drove to Beverly and decided upon Backbeat Brewing https://www.backbeatbrewing.com/. It’s a good size open space with outside seating as well. Hard to believe there were actually people sitting outside in 35 degree weather. They are hardier New Englanders than I. When we walked in the guy at the bar said we could choose our spot. We took a high top. The guy said the menu was located at the bar. He gave us a paper copy of the food menu. Beers were listed on the wall. Dh ordered a flight and I got the blonde Back Bay Vocals. It was good. For food he got the fish chowder and I got the Cuban sandwich. It was a very interesting looking sandwich, small but tall. A little challenging to eat. It had pulled pork and ham and cheese and pickles. It came with a pickle on the side, again, odd looking as a short fat pickle, not a spear. It was tasty. No chips or fries or anything. It was $13. We split one more flight after we ate. I liked the black and tan (blonde and nitro stout). I also liked the dark lager. I thought the stout by itself seemed flat. The guys working the bar were super friendly. The place was clean. There was a lot of social distancing. They followed all protocols. I would definitely recommend it if you’re in the area.
